I
have a rich and varied history that has brought me to this work. I have
been a dancer all of my life. I have a BFA in dance and I am naturally
comfortable in my body and working with other people's bodies. I studied
homeopathy and began learning about energy and the connection between
the emotions and the body with Tria Milo. She initiated me into a world
of reflective and intuitive listening, personal awareness, conscious
eating, and spiritual connection. My own awakening and interest in
Sacred Sexuality began when I left my marriage of 8 years and was
introduced to a new community of people willing to talk about and
explore sexuality. I began to study books and play with Tantric
exercises as I continued my journey finding my voice and releasing
limiting beliefs I picked up from our culture.
I felt a call to facilitate personal growth work when I visited Lost Valley Educational Center and attended two life-changing workshops, Naka Ima and The Heart of Now. Shortly after I heard that call my current partner died in a car accident. This experience allowed me to witness the power of the present moment as I implemented the tools I learned through the workshops. After taking some time to grieve and recover from the shock and loss of my partner, I moved to Oregon and became an integral part of The Heart of Now as a training ground for facilitation. In the Heart of Now, we practice being present, being honest, noticing our bodies, emotions, and thoughts, breathing, and choosing to accept the present moment while moving toward a vision.
As I prepared to facilitate, I began to assist other workshops. In assisting David Franklin and Becca Perry in a workshop called The Heart of Passion, I became inspired to work with individuals and couples. In this workshop, where we explore sensuality and eroticism and practice expressing ourselves freely and exploring our blocks, I saw myself feeling quite free and comfortable in areas where others were experiencing limitation and I felt a deeper call to support people in freeing blocked energy so that they can experience more joy and connection with themselves, their partners, and life as a whole.
I have since taken several Tantric workshops, completed an ISIS
training with Dr.Gina Ogden, studied teachings from the Institute for
the Advanced Study of Human Sexuality and the New School of Erotic
Touch, and attended the Daka/Dakini Conference in Sedona. I am
intuitively connected to working with energy. I am a Reiki II
practitioner and I am certified in ThetaHealing. I have studied
Compassionate Communication (NVC) and Imago therapy, which I apply to communicating clearly and effectively. I draw from
my life experience in my sessions and workshops. I am constantly
exploring new information and trying on new ways of working with
clients. I am currently most inspired by how I have been impacted by
Marlies Cocheret. My experience in personal growth work has led me to
feel confident in working with whatever shows up. All emotions are
welcome and embraced in breath.
My power is my presence, vulnerability, and passion for what I do. I look forward to sharing my work with you.
